Hugh Jackman Said To Be Apart of ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Reshoots

Nov 2, 2015

There’s been chatter for months that both Channing Tatum‘s Gambit and Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine would have cameos in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse, but when their names were left off cast lists and press releases we assumed they weren’t going to be involved.

However, there is now word from a Montreal news source via ComicBook, that Hugh Jackman is apart of current reshoots for X-Men: Apocalypse, this would be Hugh’s final performance in main lineup X-Men films, before his actual last performance in the untitled Wolverine 3 (likely Old Man Logan). I’ve also noticed that Jackman has been getting into Wolvie-shape for quite sometime, even though the early 2016 start date on his solo flick is currently not set in stone.

In the comics, Wolverine does play the role of Death as a member of the Four Horsemen, the villains of the film. Yet, those roles have been filled by Storm, Magneto, Psylocke, and Archangel. I’ll be curious to see how he actually fits into the film, and if this isn’t just button scene to link the film to Wolverine 3.

Considering Gambit‘s production has been delayed, they might as well include Channing Tatum as well.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be in theatres this May 27th, 2016.
