Hugh Jackman Teases Possible Return of Sabretooth in ‘Wolverine 3’

Aug 18, 2015

In a brief interview with Sydney Confidential, Hugh Jackman reveals that a return of Victor Creed aka Sabretooth could be in the cards. Jackman is referring to his call-out to fans to suggest additions for Wolverine 3, which will shoot early next year. Pointing-out that many called for the return of Creed, whether that means a recast or not is another thing.

“There were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back, there was… I must admit I was quite heartened by a number of people saying please don’t make it the last, but I’m really excited about this last one, and if you’re a comic book fan, then the words ‘berserker rage’ came up a lot, so if you know Wolverine, you’ll understand.”

I’ve been quite vocal that Fox would need extensive reworking to adapt Old Man Logan for their cinematic universe, mainly because a bulk of the character rights are at Marvel Studios. Meaning, that they’d need to replace many of the characters with ones they own. It’s already assumed that Patrick Stewart‘s confirmed Xavier would be replacing Hawkeye, as Logan’s sidekick.

Villains like Sabretooth and Omega Red could takeover for Red Skull and The Hulks, this might be how Fox fixes some of these rights issues.

Actor Liev Schreiber, teasingly posted this cheeky response to one of Jackman’s workout photos, giving the impression he might indeed be apart of Wolverine 3.
