Hulu’s ‘Locke & Key’ Pilot Begins Production This October in Toronto

Sep 16, 2017

A television adaption of the popular Locke & Key graphic novel has been in-development for a number of years. Back in 2011 a TV pilot starring Miranda Otto and Jesse McCartney was shot with a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. But was never picked up fully by FOX. However, now Hulu has picked up a series length show based on the same comic. The graphic novel writer himself Joe Hill is helping write the script with Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson directing the pilot.

Now, we at Omega Underground have learned from a recent production listing that production is expected to begin on the pilot October 23rd in Toronto, Canada:

This upcoming adaption will star Frances O’Connor as Nina Locke. Locke and Key is a horror/fantasy series that revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them.

Locke & Key will stream exclusively on Hulu
