Star Trek: Picard Gets Release Date, Trailer (NYCC)

Oct 5, 2019

The day is coming and that day is January 23, 2020. That’ll be the release date for the new CBS All Access series Star Trek: Picard. At the New York City Comic Con this weekend CBS has released another trailer as well as that official release date. Not only do we get to see Picard as he has been since leaving Starfleet but what appears to happen when this strange woman enters his life.

This new series will have Picard along with several other characters (giving me a kinda Firefly-esque feeling) along with some happy returns. We’ve already seen the return of Annika Hansen (Seven of Nine), Hugh and Data but this new trailer gives a few more. This ten episode series will occur 20 years after the events of Star Trek Nemesis where Data was killed and after the destruction of Romulus seen in Star Trek (2009).

The show’s cast includes Patrick Stewart, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd and Alison Pill. Featured returning Star Trek cast include Brent Spiner, Jonathan Del Arco and Jeri Ryan. CBS All Access will be premiering the series through their streaming service.
