Imaginary Fiends issue 5 is absolutely crazy!!! I feel very unfulfilled that the issue went by so fast and I was left wanting more. With that being said we left off last time with Polly Peachpit and Charlie Chokecherry going at it. Polly ends up saving Omar just in time for Loretta to wake up wondering what the Hell is going on.

Cameron has Melba tied up in the creepy cat barn threatening to hurt her like she did to his sister but then realizes through a heartfelt conversation that none of this was Melba’s doing, to begin with. Melba ends up unearthing the missing kid’s bodies. They look like they’ve had the life sucked out of them!!  They must stick together and fight Fraidy Cat and return the remaining missing kids back to their homes.

Crockett is at the hospital following on some leads when he’s attacked. I’m pleased to find out that he’s drunken the cat’s milk and can finally see Fraidy Cat. The two end up dueling in the nursery of the hospital. Babies go flying everywhere!!! Unfortunately, Fraidy Cat is no match for Crockett and she ends up getting away.

The art in this is so freaking good!! I look forward to every issue and spend hours glancing at every page to see if there’s anything I’m missing!! My favorite picture is the Dr’s brain falling out into his hand! This issue leaves us wondering, what the hell is going to happen next?!?!
