Warner Bros. has lost another prospective director during the development phase of one of their DC films. As it’s been announced via Variety that Doug Liman has unsurprisingly exited the director’s chair of Justice Leauge Dark. The director has had a habit of exiting projects recently, so we were expecting this since last year.
His reasoning for the departure is due to the production of Lionsgate’s Chaos Walking starring Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland which Omega Underground uncovered recently will begin filming this August in Scotland, Iceland, and the UK. Making his attachment to the DC film in question.
The Hollywood Report adds that It and Mama director Andy Muschietti is on a list of potential replacements. Curiously, he worked directly with Justice League Dark screenwriter Guillermo del Toro on Mama which might help his chances considering that It’s trailer broke online records and hiring an actual horror guy for this project is the smart move.
Studio is already looking for new director on JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, with one source saying IT director Andy Muschietti is on the list.
