As Sony continues to build the Marvel Universe, in an unlikely turn of events the ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Films appears to have been revived under the directorial vision of J.C. Chandor. Chandor is most well known for his film Triple Frontier for Netflix.
As per any Spiderman related film, Avi Arad is producing the film alongside Matt Tolmach and Richard Wenk. Matt Holloway and Art Marcum are currently penned to write the script for the film. This film will center on Sergei Kravinoff, the notorious Spiderman villain. According to early reports, Sony is looking to cast a Joel Kinnaman type for the role. At this time it is unknown whether Tom Holland will appear in the film as Spiderman but will in all likelihood be heavily hinted at in the film. (Assuming the film doesn’t follow Kraven hunting Peter Parker)
In the last few years, Sony has built up the SUMC through Venom 1, (2 coming soon) Morbius which is set to release in 2021, the Spider Woman film which was recently confirmed to be directed by Olivia Wilde, A supposed Madam Webb film as well as casual appearances from Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.
