UPDATE: James Wan and ‘IT’ Screenwriter Gary Gauberman Teaming-Up For ‘Train To Busan’ Remake

Deadline has learned there is now a bidding-war for a remake to the breakout Korean horror film Train To Busan.

The project comes from producer James Wan (Aquaman, Conjuring) and screenwriter Gary Dauberman (IT, Swamp Thing), Gary is said to be writing the script for the remake.

They also report that New Line Cinema, Screen Gems, Lionsgate, and Paramount Pictures are trying to win the bid for Busan.

A zombie virus breaks out in South Korea, passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan.

James has Aquaman releasing this December and Gary is about to begin directing his debut feature with Annabelle 3.
