According to the The Cinemaspot., Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in talks to play the Thomas Wayne version of Batman in the upcoming film, ‘THE FLASH.’ The Thomas Wayne version of Batman originated from the hit 2011 comic, Flashpoint. Written by Geoff Johns, the story is about Flash waking up to discover disruptions in the DC Universe. One being of course, was in this timeline; Bruce Wayne was the one who died in the alleyway instead of his parents. His mother became the Joker and his father lead to an addiction to alcohol and became that timelines version of Batman. If talks go through, this would be the second time we’d see Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne; reprising his role from Batman v Superman directed by Zack Snyder.
Recently, confirmed by the producer of the film, Barbara Muschietti. Cyborg played by Ray Fisher is going to appear in The Flash as well. Not much story is known, however Andy Muschietti confirmed through ThatHashtagShow that the film will be a “different version of Flashpoint than you’re expecting.” Personally, I don’t expect a full-on adaptation of the comic, however I can definitely see it taking multiple elements from the comic such as Thomas Wayne Batman. I believe more information will be given at DC Fandome.
The Flash is being produced by Warner Bros Pictures and is based on the titular DC Comics character of the same name.
