Thanks to Slashfilm, we now have confirmation on who Jeremy Irons will be play in HBO’s ‘Watchmen,’ as well as learning that Jean Smart has joined the cast. Spoilers below!
Jeremy Irons will be playing an older Ozymandias! It’s unknown what role Adrian will play, but given that a recent set photo revealed a newspaper saying he had died, it will definitely be interesting to see how it plays out.
Additionally, Jean Smart will be playing FBI Agent Blake.” It could be a generic last name, but it more than likely has to do with The Comedian, whose real name was Edward Blake. Maybe it’s his sister, or maybe it is just an easter egg, but chances are that it will be very important to the story.
‘Watchmen’ hails from Damon Lindelof and will premiere on HBO sometime in 2019. The show stars Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, and Tom Mison, among others
