JJ Abrams and Stephen King’s Upcoming Hulu Series ‘Castle Rock’ Begins Filming in August

A brand new Hulu series is in the works from author Stephen King and Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams. The series is titled Castle Rock and just got a 10-episode commitment by the streaming service according to Deadline. This will be JJ Abrams second series on Hulu with King after 11.23.63 was met with praise. .Now we at Omega Underground have learned that the production on the series

Now we at Omega Underground have learned (via My Entertainment World) that the production on the series will begin August 22, 2017.

A small synopsis from Hulu and its producers was also released:

A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories. A teaser for the project, released by Bad Robot on Friday, has garnered more than 1 million views.
