Joe Wright is tackling his follow up to The Darkest Hour very soon. As the project titled Woman In The Window based on the novel by A.J. Finn is said to begin filming this summer and is very much inspired by Alfred Hitchcock.
Omega Underground has learned that filming is set to begin August 6th in New York City.
The previous reported cast consists of Amy Adams, Julianne Moore and Wyatt Russell.
We also hear that Gary Oldman could take a role in the film coming off his Oscar win thanks to Joe Wright. Although, it’s not confirmed at the moment or what the role could be.
Wright will however indeed reunite with French cinematographer Bruno Delbonnel, who previously worked with him on Darkest Hour.
Anna Fox (Adams), an agoraphobic child psychologist who lives alone in a New York suburb. Afraid to leave home, she fills her day watching film noir classics and her interaction is mostly online. She spies on her neighbors like they do in the movies she loves. When she sees a crime take place in the house across the park, should she call the cops?
Fox 2000 will release the film in an awards friendly slot on October 4th, 2019.
