‘John Wick 3’ Looking To Film In Morocco and Jordan – Doubling For Jerusalem?

Mar 2, 2018

We have a brief John Wick: Chapter 3 update to share.

You might remember that Keanu Reeves had stated that he had an interest to see the third film include locales such as Tokyo and Jerusalem.

With word that Japanese action star Hiroyuki Sanada playing the film’s villain there’s a good chance they’ll have some Japan scenes.

The problem with having Jerusalem as a location the actual locale is a little too dangerous to film there, even more so after recent tensions. There had been expectations that another country would be doubling for those scenes possibly Spain.

Well, we’ve learned that filmmakers are currently scouting Morocco and Jordan. There’s a good chance these places could be doubling for Jerusalem.

It does seem like the film will be slightly more globetrotting than originally thought. I’m also curious if it’ll be revealed that Wick has a background with Israeli/Russian special forces.

The final film in the trilogy is set to start shooting on April 26th in New York City/Montreal and will be released on May 17th, 2019.
