As Omega Underground first pointed out when we reported that production designer David Scheunemann was hired for David Leitch’s Hobbs and Shaw, that cinematographer Jonathan Sela was expected to be coming back as well.
We can now say that Sela is now indeed attached to reunite with Leitch after previously working with him on John Wick, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2.
The Fast and Furious spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham is set to begin filming on September 4th as we previously reported which was confirmed by Johnson himself on Twitter.
Filming is said to be taking place in Atlanta, United Kingdom, and Hawaii area.
Casting should be the next big step and I guess we’ll find out if Charlize Theron will ultimately be part of the cast as expected.
Universal recently pushed the release date to August 2nd, 2019.
