We now have a few details concerning Robin Lord Taylor’s role in ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.’ Slash Film was able to interview him after the ‘Gotham’ panel at the Television Critics Association.
Lord Taylor’s comments about his character The Administrator:
“In the hiatus, between season four and season five [of ‘Gotham’], I had one day on ‘John Wick,’ just their very first day of principal photography. I don’t want to say too much but it’s definitely an important person in that world.”
“I took the character in a physical dimension that was different for me so I’m very excited for people to see it. It’s very iconic. I get no guns in ‘John Wick.’ Again, it’s a very, very small episode and I was actually freaked out about telling people about it. Oftentimes with big movies like that, you can end up on the floor in the editing bay. From what I hear, I’m still in it.”
In response to if his character would appear again, specifically in the Starz show ‘The Continental,’ set in the ‘John Wick’ universe, Lord Taylor said:
“That would be amazing. It’s so funny too because in that universe, as I’m sure you know, every minor character means something. Everyone is very connected in that world so yeah, the guy I’m playing, who knows?”
So, that could be something to look forward to down the line, should the opportunity arise for Lord Taylor.
The synopsis of the film is below:
“John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run. He’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life. And he’s broken a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado.” That means membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.”
Further, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane are back for the film. Also, the new cast includes Halle Berry, Mark Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon, Saïd Taghmaoui, Jason Mantzoukas, and Anjelica Huston.
Lionsgate will release ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ on May 17.
