It’s about time we had a John Wick video game! And this game is all about time management. You’ll have to judge when and how to use your most precious resource when confronted with incoming and nearby enemies. You have all of John’s arsenal at your disposal, from stealth takedowns to throwing your pistol.
When I first launched the game I did not know what to expect. I hadn’t done any research on it so I was surprised to find a tactical shooter. I had to orient myself to the game and think through it more. The movies are all about punch! The game is more strategic and slow-paced. Do not, however, mistake this for an X-COM knock off. Hex is much faster and the resource management comes down to one player-controlled-character, ammunition, health and time. If you don’t think you have the patience for Hex, but you love the movies, give yourself some grace and check out the videos. This game is awesome and a great addition to the John Wick series.
