The ever-proactive Michael B. Jordan is teaming up with director Jordan Vogt-Roberts for a new monster movie! However, Jordan will not be starring, he’s producing under his banner Outlier Society.
Vogt-Roberts recently co-wrote and directed ‘Kong: Skull Island,’ the second installment in Warner Bros.’ ‘MonsterVerse.’ He made his feature film debut with ‘The Kings of Summer’ in 2013. He is still working on the long-gestating film adaptation of the video game ‘Metal Gear Solid.’
The project, currently without a title, is from an original idea by Vogt-Roberts, and the setting is his hometown of Detroit. But, we do not know any plot details at the moment.
Meanwhile, Outlier Society has a first-look deal at Warner Bros., with the two making the fantasy adaptation ‘Black Leopard, Red Wolf.’
Perhaps Warner Bros. will also pick up this monster movie project? We’ll just have to see!
