Sony’s untitled third ‘Jumanji’ film now has Dania Ramirez in the truly stacked ensemble.
Ramirez has had appearances in several different televisions series, such as ‘The Sopranos,’ ‘Heroes,’ ‘Entourage,’ and ‘Devious Maids.’ She also had the role of Callisto in ‘X-Men: The Last Stand.’ Last year, she was part of both the final season of ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time’ and the CBS All Access series ‘Tell Me a Story.’
She joins franchise newcomers Awkwafina, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover.
Also returning are the set of actors who played video game avatars in the previous film: Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas. Additionally, the group of teenagers are reprising their roles: Ser’Darius Blain, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, and Morgan Turner.
The premise of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ had a more updated approach to the concept. The classic board game transformed into a video game, and four teens were sucked into its world. The plot of the third film is still unknown.
Moreover, Jake Kasdan, who directed the feature that made $962 million worldwide, is back to helm the sequel. Also, Kasdan co-wrote the script with returning screenwriters Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
Further, filming is currently underway on the film. Sony Pictures will release the film on December 13.
