The search for answers is a dangerous thing.

Batman is determined to get answers. After Luthor and his team stole the Totality, Batman has been on a relentless mission to find out what they want with it and he’s going to use Jarro and the unconscious body of Starman to get the answers he seeks. Unfortunately, the power levels coming off the hero are so high that both Diana and Clark have to intervene to save Bruce from having an aneurysm. What makes matters worse is that Bruce was able to get a glimpse of the answers he’s seeking and that will challenge the detective to go even further.

On Thanagar Prime, Hawkwoman, John Stewart and Manhunter arrive to hostility that is quickly resolved with the intervention of ShayeraHol. Her emergence was handled beautifully and kudos to the writers for putting the awkwardness of the situation out in the open in Kendra’s dialogue both with her team and with Shayera herself. The away team is there to get answers they believe are locked in the vaults of the planet. Unfortunately, Shayera’ssecrets will make it harder to uncover those secrets as her hospitality hidessomething sinister.

Snyder and Tynion IV continue to impress with this title and the twists the story takes with each issue. The mystery of the source wall is compelling, but the human mysteries continue to be engaging. The entire interlude on Thanagar has my attention both for what was shown, but also for what is being hidden. There is a great story here that is unfolding in a delicate manner that keeps the reader both curious and involved.

Chung and Segovia do amazing things with the art in this issue. Both in scale and detail, everything looks amazing.
