Matthew Vaughn is gearing up for the release of the sequel to his immensely successful film Kingsman: The Secret Service, based on the comic book series by Mark Millar. While doing press for the sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Vaughn told reporters that he has been in talks to possibly come aboard another comic book property.

Vaughn gave an interview to HeyUGuys where he revealed that he has been in preliminary talks with Warner Brothers about a sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel. While he is currently working on a third Kingsman movie, he did state in the interview “I don’t know what I’m going to do next, but I have had chats about Superman. I love Superman.”

This isn’t the first time Vaughn has been attached to the man of steel. In 2010, he and Millar put together a pitch for the studio for a new Superman film in the wake of Superman Returns. Ultimately, the studio went with Man of Steel as the project. It will be interesting to see what Millar and Vaughn’s version of Superman might be, if “chats” continue to move forward.
