Today, The Wrap reported that Green Lantern and Kingsman star Mark Strong has entered talks to play the evil Doctor Sivana in DC Comics upcoming Shazam! Mark Strong was the fan-favourite in DC’s critically panned Green Lantern film in 2011. With many wishing DC brought him back for their rebooted Green Lantern Corps.
We at Omega Underground speculated that DC may use The Seven Deadly Sins as the film’s antagonists based on leaked audition tapes. However, while they still may appear in the film it’s entirely possible they were just used for the audition.
In other news, it was also revealed that Annabelle: Creation star Grace Fulton had joined that cast in an unspecified role. Some are suggesting she may play Mary Marvel. Billy Batson’s sister in the Flashpoint universe. With the other foster kids appearing in the film its possible Mary will also.
