What was your first Cosplay Experience?
My first experience was attending Long Beach Comic Con earlier this year and wearing both Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist and a Nurse from Silent Hill.
How long have you been Cosplaying?
I’ve actually only been cosplaying for about 4 months! I’m still very new to the cosplay world.
Who or What inspired you to take up Cosplaying?
I became utterly fascinated with the world of cosplaying over the course of the last year and desperately wanted to try it for myself but was too nervous. It was the dedication and confidence of many different cosplay idols of mine that finally gave me the courage to try it out! And I fell in love right away.
If you had to pick a favorite Cosplay you have worn or see someone else wear what would it be?
My favorite cosplay of my own would have to be my Silent Hill Nurse because I adore the franchise and the costume took such an incredible amount of work.
My favorite cosplays by others would be Yaya Han’s Heartseeker Ashe costume and April Gloria’s Aela the Huntress cosplay. Both such talented and beautiful woman with incredible portfolios.
If you had unlimited funds and resources, what Cosplay would you create?
My biggest cosplay dream would be to make EVERY one of Alice’s beautiful and detailed dress skins from Alice: Madness Returns. I’m going do it eventually, you’ll see!
What advice would you offer others who are aspiring Cosplayers?
Just get started! Don’t wait around thinking of the “what ifs” just do it, and have an amazing time. There is no other experience quite like cosplaying.
