Jul 22, 2020

Lenovo’s first gaming phone has a display capable of 144 FPS. Dubbed the “Legion Phone Duel”, the phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G CPU, high-precision haptics, and a pop-up camera that is positioned at the side of the phone for easy live-streaming from the phone directly while gaming.

That fancy display is AMOLED and comes in at 5.69″ and full HD (2340 x 1080). That’s a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Other feaures include dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6 support, 5G connectivity, 12GB or 16GB of RAM depending on the model, UFS 3.1 storage starting at 256GB, and a 5000 mAh battery. Wowzers. That’s a lot of of awesome specs!

The phone will ship in two primary color options: Vengeance Red (awesome), and Blazing Blue.

GWW has received a full specsheet but since we are based in the US, we are unsure we will be able to acquire a unit for review. The Legion Duel has been announced for China likley in July as well as APAC, and EMEA.

On the software side, the Duel will ship with Android 10 and a new entrant into the Android UI space: Legion OS.

I’m a fan of Lenovo’s laptops and desktops – I’ll do my best to secure a Legion Duel for review. Stay tuned!
