Today, Variety announced that actress Lilly Collins has joined Fox Searchlight’s upcoming J.R.R Tolkien biopic. She will star opposite Nicholas Holt who has been cast as the great Lord of the Rings author and World War I veteran. Collins joins as Tolkien’s long time lover and eventual wife Edith Bratt. Bratt’s beauty was Tolkien’s inspiration for the elven princess Lúthien in his novel The Silmarillion. Finnish director Dome Karukoski will helm the movie.
