Mar 16, 2021

Warner Brothers’ The Flash is currently ramping up filming and with that comes some additional casting announcements. The Hollywood Report is reporting Maribel Verdu has been cast in the upcoming superhero film and will be playing Nora Allen, the mother of Barry Allan who was brutally murdered when he was a young child.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is Billy Crudup who played Henry Allan in both versions of Justice League will be leaving The Flash film to continue work on Apple+’s The Morning Show. Crudup was expected to reprise his role as Barry’s father in the film but due to scheduling conflicts with the Apple series Crudup has opted out of his role in The Flash and will be recast per the report.

The Flash will be directed by And Muschietti with a screenplay by Christina Hudson. The film will release on November 4, 2022 and will feature Barry Allen racing through the multiverse as he encounters new and familiar faces, including Micheal Keaton’s Batman, Ben Affleck’s Batman and Supergirl played by Sasha Calle.
