Marvel Studios Hires Writer For ‘Falcon and Bucky’ Team-Up Limited Streaming Series

It was recently revealed that Marvel Studios would be getting into the limited series business for Disney’s upcoming streaming service. The two projects originally mentioned would focus on established characters Loki and Scarlet Witch.

Today, it’s been announced by Variety that Marvel has hired Empire writer Malcolm Spellman to a pen a third series that would see Anthony Mackie’s Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky aka Winter Soldier team-up for their very own adventures.

Marvel heroes Falcon and Winter Soldier are teaming up for a potential limited series at the Disney streaming service. Variety has learned exclusively that Malcolm Spellman has been tapped to write a series featuring the two superheroes, which is currently in development at the streamer. It is the first of the proposed Marvel limited series to find a writer.

A team-up had been first teased by the two actors while on the press tour for Captain America: Civil War.

There are likely even more projects to be announced in the future as well.
