Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ Adds Angela Bassett To It’s Amazing Cast

Camera’s haven’t even begun rolling on Black Panther yet, and the excitement surrounding the eighteenth film* in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is near fever pitch based on the films awesome cast alone.

You’d think to yourself how can Marvel make the cast even better? Well…. They’ve gone and done it by bringing Academy Award-nominated actress Angela Bassett (Malcolm X, American Horror Story) on board as Ramonda, Mother of T’Challa aka Black Panther (played by Chadwick Boseman).

This isn’t the first comic book movie for Bassett either, she played Amanda Waller in Warner Bros failed Green Lantern film back in 2012.

Directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station) Bassett joins the cast which stars Chadwick Boseman alongside Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, and Florence Kasumba.

Black Panther hits screens February 16, 2018.

*Eighteenth if Marvel don’t change their schedule.
