Maya Thurman-Hawke Joins ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3

Mar 3, 2018

Netflix and The Duffer Brothers have added the first new cast member to the third season of Stranger Things as Maya Thurman-Hawke will be heading to Hawkins via Variety. Maya comes from an acting family, her parents happen to be Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.

Hawke will play an “alternative girl” bored with her mundane day job. She seeks excitement in her life and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins, Ind.

It’s also been reaffirmed that Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas’ little sister Erica will be upped to a series regular and possibly given her own storyline. Her larger role was first announced last year after her scene-stealing moments in season two.

Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous new threat.

Omega Underground revealed last month that Stranger Things will be filming from April 23rd until September 14th in Atlanta, Georgia.
