Millie Bobby Brown Will Return For ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 as Eleven

Nov 2, 2016

Millie Bobby Brown was a 2016 breakout star after her portrayal of the telepathic child known as Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things. Performing most of the scenes with simple facial expressions and minimal lines made her a future star in the making. However, after Eleven battled the monster known as the Demogorgon by transporting both herself and the demon into another dimension; many assumed her character would no longer be a part of the series.

Luckily TV Line has learned that star Millie Bobby Brown has indeed signed onto return as Eleven in Season 2 of the series. It’s unknown in what capacity her role will be but it’s expected to be a series regular. So Eleven’s whereabouts in the upcoming season should be explained fairly quickly.

After her role on Stranger Thing’s every fan on earth was “fan casting” the young 12 year old actress in upcoming projects. One project in-particular was Hulu and Marvel’s upcoming series based on The Runaways. Fans suggested that Millie Bobby Brown would be the perfect fit for the young mutant Molly Hayes (Molly’s strength rivals The Hulk). In September, the actress went on to tell the Marvel Cinematic Universe fanpage at the Salt Lake Comic-Con she “would totally be interested in playing a MCU character” Unfortunately, with the news that she has signed onto Stranger Things season 2 also being a part of a rival streaming service like Hulu seems highly unlikely.
