Novi, Michigan is having a riot: a riot of geekdom! The 30th year of the Motor City Comic Con began today and runs through the entire weekend. Located in Metro Detroit, the MCCC begins in the newly expanded and renovated Suburban Showplace Collection. The expanded location allows for more crafters, guests and opportunities to see and be seem by your favorite cosplay including some of the newest to appear.Today’s guest panels have included Barry Williams (Greg Brady of The Brady Bunch), Judith Hoag (April O’Neill from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Halloweentown movies), and the original Michael Meyers and director of the cult classic The Last Starfighter Nick Castle.There is events going on all weekend to suit most of your geeky needs including board gaming, Geek Speed Dating, the Cosplay Contests (Saturday, kid’s on Sunday) and trivia.If you are in the Metro Detroit area and want to join in on the convention it will continue on thru Sunday.
