Novi, Michigan has been invaded by geeks! The 30th year of the Motor City Comic Con started today at the Suburban Showplace Collection. This location has been recently renovated and expanded to give almost 50% more room. There are more guests, vendors, and events to explore. Even on this first day there was already quite a lot of great cosplay including this very recent addition.
This three day event happening in Metro Detroit has been a staple the last 30 years and has only gotten better with age. Besides the many comic and artist guests, there were many celebrities already in attendance. Several of the guests that had panels today were Neve Campbell (Scream), Judith Hoag (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Halloweentown) and original Michael Meyers and director of the cult classic The Last Starfighter Nick Castle.
If you are anywhere in the area and want to join the festivities the con will continue tomorrow from 10:30am-7pm and Sunday from 10:30am-5pm. Details for tickets, guests and more are located on their website. More reports will be coming throughout the weekend and beyond so stay tuned!
