Today I kick off my AMD Ryzen Coverage with this unboxing and overview of MSI’s X370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard, a matte black board with carbon fiber accents and RGB LED Accent lighting sprinkled throughout the board in what looks to be a tasteful manner.
The packaging itself is simple, but for a $180 motherboard, I don’t expect there to be a ton of frills in here. The box get’s to the point, with what you want on top, and what you need on the bottom, with not a lot of extra things thrown in that you don’t need.
The motherboard itself has nice, simple layout with no one thing standing out immediately, which I like more and more every time I work with and look at this motherboard. The RGB LED placement looks solid, and with a single RGB header on the motherboard with a splitter cable that can take that one header and plug into RGB LED Strips, the options for lighting your system with this board seems to hit a nice balance.
Take a look at the video below for the full unboxing and overview.

As I start on my Ryzen coverage and hands on, what are you looking forward to hearing about the most, or what is it that you’re most curious about? Let me know so I can try to incorporate that into my videos as they come down the line.
