‘Narcos’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Pedro Pascal Set To Star in ‘The Mandalorian’ TV Series

Today, Variety has learned that Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, Narcos) has been cast as the lead in Star Wars upcoming streaming series The Mandalorian. The series which is being written and produced by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Lion King) has already begun production earlier in October.

The series is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

It was recently revealed that a slew of directors have been tapped for the series including Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones) and Bryce Dallas Howard. The company also recently revealed another Star Wars streaming service is in-development which will follow Rogue One’s Cassian Andor (Deigo Luna) as a Rebel spy.
