Netflix’s ‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season Two Will Begin Filming June 17th & Wrap November 15th in Toronto

According to our friends at HN Entertainment, the second season of the Netflix series ‘The Umbrella Academy’ will begin filming June 17th and wrap November 15th in Toronto, Canada. The series is based on Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba’s popular comic book.

We at GWW previously revealed that the series was renewed for a second season, before the first season even aired.

The premise of the first season is below:

“The story of a super-dysfunctional family of superheroes who have eight days to get it together and save the world.”

The cast comprises of Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David CastaƱeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton, and Mary J. Blige.

Peter Hoar will be directing the first episode of the second season. He also directed the pilot and tenth episode of the first season.

Netflix has not set a premiere date yet, but a 2020 release is likely.
