New Big Hero 6 Series Reunites Big Screen Cast

Nov 3, 2016

Disney XD will be premiering a new Big Hero 6 series set immediately after the events of the 2014 feature film sometime in 2017. The new series finds genius Hiro and his friends taking on scientifically enhanced villains as well as navigating the responsibilities of being both a student and a prodigy. Produced by Kim Possible creators Mark McCorkle, Bob Schooley and Nick Filippi, the series is set to debut in 2017.

Most of the voice cast from the original film will be returning with Ryan Potter as Hiro, Maya Rudolph as Aunt Cass, Jamie Chung as Go-Go, Genesis Rodriguez as Honey Lemon and Scott Adsit as Baymax. Alan Tudyk will also be returning as entrepreneur and tech guru Alistair Kre and the legendary Stan Lee voicing Fred’s Dad. The voices of Wasabi and Fred will be Khary Payton (currently dominating the small screen as Ezekiel on The Walking Dead) and former SNL alum Brooks Whelan.

The series is still in production by Disney Television Animation and we will bring any news as it develops.
