Ridley Scott’s masterpiece Blade Runner has a long-awaited sequel set to take audiences on a journey this fall and there is a new trailer to delight and captivate those waiting for its release.
Blade Runner: 2049 has a new trailer that builds on the promise of the first trailer. It takes a deeper dive into the future world inhabited by humans and replicants where a new Blade Runner has to deal with long-buried secrets that could destroy society. Written by Hampton Fancher, who penned the original film from the Phillip K. Dick story and directed by Arrival visionary Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner: 2049 features performances by Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Dave Bautista, Robin Wright and Harrison Ford returning as Rick Deckard.
Officer K (Ryan Gosling), a new blade runner for the Los Angeles Police Department, unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. His discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who’s been missing for 30 years.
Blade Runner: 2049 opens in theaters October 6, 2017.
