Wouldn’t it be great if you could watch 15 minutes of gameplay footage for the much anticipated Fire Emblem: Fates (3Ds)? Well, thanks to our friends at GameXplain, we have just that.
Those familiar with the Fire Emblem series or the most recent and critically acclaimed Fire Emblem: Awakening will notice the return of the staple of the series in its strategy-based battles. The text focused dialogue is back, as well as some truly vibrant and action-packed cutscenes. Oh yeah, now the characters have feet.
While the gameplay video focuses heavily on the battle system, there’s also a quick cutscene video. If you’re worried about spoilers, I wouldn’t fret. These videos don’t give away much of anything in the ways of story. In a series where games take north of 50 hours to beat, 15 minutes really isn’t going to give away a great deal.
Fates will be released in three versions, each following a different storyline around the same characters: Birthright and Conquest as physical releases, and Revelation as downloadable content. And we don’t have that much longer of a wait! Fire Emblem: Fates will release in North America on February 19, 2016.
