The first full trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular Anime Ghost in the Shell has been released and it definitely looks intriguing. The film stars Scarlett Johansson as “The Major”, a cyborg operative tasked with bringing down criminals and extremists in the future.The trailer itself is heavy on action while serving up impressive visuals.
The production was not without controversy as people were upset at the Japanese hero of the series being replaced by the Avengers star in what many called the “white-washing” of the character Motoko Kusanagi, but the real test will come at the box office when the movie is released March 31, 2017.
