Last night Star Lord himself stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to introduce the newest trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the 2014 hit film.
Chris Pratt gave everyone a new look at the sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The trailer gives a couple of new scenes and confirmation of some of the plot points that have been thrown out, but the biggest reveal is at the end with the first appearance of Kurt Russell as Star Lord’s dad. Check it out.
The trailer does emphasize the relationship between these characters and how those relationships have evolved over the time that they’ve been together. It’s funny to see the banter they share and how they’ve come together as a wildly unstable family. It’s going to be great to see how the rest of the film stacks up.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters May 5, 2017.
