The newest Injustice 2 trailer is here and full of new and exciting reveals for the game beginning with the official story! The first Injustice game ended with the fall of the Superman regime, Injustice 2 seemingly continues shortly after following Batman and his team attempting to repair the damage Superman caused to society. Not all is as it seems though, with Batman compromising his morality in an attempt to restore order to the world. The trailer also showcases more new playable characters as well as two new major villains making their debut to the game.

Brainiac has also been confirmed for the game alongside Darkseid, who is being offered as DLC for pre-ordering the game. This takes the game beyond the “hero vs. hero” conflict and elevates the game and it’s story to a new level making it a formidable release. Other new characters debuted in the trailer also include, Poison Ivy and Robin (either Tim Drake or Damian Wayne).

Here is the press release from NetherRealm and Warner Bros. released today:

Injustice 2 is NetherRealm Studios’ super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us that allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Featuring a massive selection of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains,  Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime.  In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk.”

Let me know what you think! Do you think Brainiac will be a good addition to the game?

The battle continues with Injustice 2 releasing May 16, 2017!
