Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park (1993), Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor’s interest, which backfires horribly.
Universal Pictures has released another trailer for new film in the Jurassic Park franchise with Jurassic World. This of course looks like a Jurassic Park film but also seemingly is taking cues from films like Aliens and may I also suggest Deep Blue Sea and a dash of How To Train Your Dragon 2. I’m stoked for this but it’s sort of funny to see them use elements from those very different films, not saying this is a bad thing but it’s neat to point out this has the same beats as those movies.
Jurassic World arrives on June 12.
