We’ve been waiting eagerly for months on any news from the set of Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie. Well, we got more than that today and it was well worth the wait.
After it was announced this week that there would be a new Justice League trailer Saturday, everyone started to speculate on just what would be shown. After a series of short teaser trailers over the last forty-eight hours depicting each member of the League (minus Superman), we were told that a new trailer was coming. Take a look below and tell us what you think.
The trailer gives a sense of the overall tone of the film as well as a look at the action. We finally get our first look at Oscar winner J.K. Simmons in the role of Commissioner Gordon. As much as they were able to put into two and a half minutes worth of footage, it’s gratifying that they didn’t give too much away. I would say that the Aquaman scenes alone were definitely worth the wait and serves as a great prelude of things to come in the DCEU. All of the action beats in the trailer give a showcase to the individual characters and everyone gets their moment to shine. I enjoyed the cameo by Amy Adams’ Lois Lane as a precursor to the return on the Man of Steel. All in all, I continue to be excited for this November to come around.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
