The crew of the Orville is about to get a new shipmate.
Deadline and Bleeding Cool News are reporting that actress Jessica Szohr is joining the cast of the science fiction dramedy for its second season. Not only will she be joining the show, but she will be a series regular for the second season of the surprise hit series from Family Guy and American Dad creator Seth MacFarlane.
Jessica Szohr is known for her roles on television series like Shameless, Twin Peaks and Gossip Girl. She has also been in feature films including Ted 2, Two Night Stand and House at the End of the Drive. Not much has been revealed about her character, but she will be coming on board as a new member of the Orville’s crew.
The Orville was created and produced by Seth Macfarlane along with Star Trek veteran Brannon Braga, David A. Goodman, Jon Cassar and Jason Clark. The series cast includes MacFarlane, Adrienne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Halston Sage, J. Lee and Mark Jackson.
