Merchoid previously announced new merchandise from the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film. All of their products listed had images accompanying them, with the exception of one, listed as “Spider-Man Hoodie”.
Today, Merchoid has officially revealed the design of the new hoodie and we can’t help but wonder, is this the first look of the Spider-Man costume featured in Captain America: Civil War?
Merchoid released an official statement, and it appears they are just as curious as we are:
There’s been lots of talk online and people have been really excited that this could be what reveals the new look Spider-man. However, Marvel is doing a fantastic job of keeping the new Spider-man costume under wraps, so we haven’t seen it yet! What we can say is this hoodie was designed in partnership with Marvel, who provided all the design elements from their 2016 merchandise range, including the ‘messy’ webbing which we haven’t yet seen in any prior Spider-man costume. We’re really excited to see what Spider-man fans think! If this is the first look at the new costume, are you happy with the new direction?
If this is a taste of what we can expect from the new costume, I actually really like the new ‘messy web’ design. Most importantly, I love that they went with the classic spider logo on the chest as well. Even if this ends up not being the actual design for the new costume in the film, I plan on pre-ordering this beautifully designed hoodie.
