Nintendo Offers Two New Gigantic Puzzle Games at One Low Price

Mar 23, 2015

If you have a 3DS and love puzzle games, you’ll be psyched on May 22 when Nintendo releases a 2 game package, featuring a new Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition and the successful Puzzle & Dragons Z, developed by GungHo. According to Nintendo, this newest game “resembles a classic Super Mario Bros.” in which “players drag and match colorful orbs to chain combos to battle opponents, level up, and clear stages.”  In typical Nintendo fashion, players will be given a much deeper experience than your classic drag-and-match gameplay. Players will be able to recruit all of Bowers minions, from Koopa Troopas to Goombas and even Bowers beloved Koopalings, along with ever-charming characters such as Toad and Yoshi to help in the fight against 80 classic characters from a variety of different worlds.

Readers may remember Puzzles and Dragons Z as the game that became a big hit in Japan and sold more than 1.5 million units in the first six months after launch, which features similar drag-and-match game play with an even richer storyline. Players collect and battle a cast of over 250 monsters, in the attempt to level up and evolve their monsters to rebuild the world around them.

Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition launches on one game card at a suggested retail price of just $29.99. Best of all, everyone can try out Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition before it launches by downloading a free demo in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS starting in early May.
