Today, IGN revealed the first image of Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock in Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff Venom. The first photo seems to reaffirm that The Life Foundation will be appearing in the film as Brock has “The Life Foundation” scribbled on his notepad.

This suggests that we’ll be seeing multiple symbiote threats, not just Carnage. In the comics, Life Foundation develops a group of symbiotes led by Donna Diego aka Scream (female symbiote). It’ll be interesting to see if they’ll use all of them or just a few.
Omega Underground originally hinted to their involvement when we revealed that San Francisco would be a location and that Lethal Protector would likely be inspiring the film which was later confirmed by director Ruben Fleischer in the video below from Brazil Comic-Con last year.
It’s been said by AtlantaFilming that Riz Ahmed will be playing Life Foundation’s Doctor Carlton Drake.
We already have confirmation that Michelle Williams will be playing a version of Anne Weying, who becomes She-Venom. There’s a strong chance that Scream is also in the film or even that Anne (Williams) takes the Scream persona for herself.
Woody Harrelson and Jenny Slate‘s roles have yet to be identified.
Venom is set for release on October 5th, 2018.
