Back in July, Omega Underground revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio‘s next film following Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood would be Martin Scorsese‘s Killers of The Flower Moon, a crime thriller the two have been attached to make for a while now.
Well, it looks like we know when and where Martin Scorsese could be filming his next film Killers of The Flower Moon which will star Leonardo DiCaprio.
We’ve learned that filming is expected to begin sometime next spring in Oklahoma after a year of delays on the film’s production start.
Variety is now confirming most of our summer reporting, stating that they will indeed reunite on the film making it their next project which will begin production next year.
Screenwriter Eric Roth (Dune, Forest Gump, Benjamin Button) will be penning the film which is based on the novel by David Grann.
The story is set in 1920s Oklahoma and revolves around the Osage Nation, who were the richest people per capita in the world, after oil was discovered under their land and then they were murdered, one by one. As the death toll rose, the newly created FBI took up the case and unraveled a chilling conspiracy and one of the most monstrous crimes in American history.
Omega Underground also said filming would be taking place next year in Oklahoma as they had been eyeing a spring start, Variety says it could have a summer start but none-the-less confirmed the shoot will take place in Oklahoma as we originally stated in our previous reporting.
Once we have production dates we will update.
A release date for Killers of The Flower Moon has yet to be announced.
