Our Report That Showtime’s ‘Halo’ Series Will Shoot In Budapest Seemingly Confirmed – Start Might Be Delayed To June

Oct 25, 2018

Back in August, Omega Underground reported that Showtime’s upcoming live-action Halo series would be shooting in Budapest, Hungary. Possibly as soon as January as they had originally been eyeing an start in the new year.

Well, ProductionWeekly has now posted information on Twitter that backs-up our Budapest location reporting from the summer, while suggesting filming might not begin until June rather than January (delays happen for various reasons).

Showtime had announced in June that Awake’s Kyle Killen is writing/showrunning the series while Rise of The Planet of The Apes director Rupert Wyatt is set to helm a couple of the episodes in the 10-episode order.

The series will also feature fan-favorite Master Chief as one of the reoccurring characters of the show.

An air date has yet to be announced but we suspect it will drop sometime in 2020.
