The Hollywood Reporter seems to refute the recent rumor from Collider with word that Patty Jenkins (The Killing, Monster) will replace Michelle MacLaren as director of Wonder Woman, not Angelina Jolie. Patty had been originally hired by Marvel Studios to make Thor: The Dark World only to be replaced herself by Alan Taylor, after hero own creative differences. She has reportedly closed a deal to take the director’s chair in the fantasy film.
Jolie seemed a hard sell for us since she’s about to begin production on Africa and WB needs a director ready to start pre-production soon to be ready for a fall shoot.
I actually predicted this replacement yesterday.
