Paul King will no longer be directing Disney’s live-action ‘Pinocchio’ movie.
In an interview with Discussing Film, cinematographer Seamus McGarvey has confirmed the loss of the ‘Paddington’ director. You can read his comments below.
“I don’t think it’s a secret anymore, but the film has been cancelled over the holidays, over Christmas. The director basically pulled out of the film, for family reasons. Disney are trying to find a new director, but I read those reports that Tom Hanks and all those other people, they’re trying to get it going.”
King is also set to direct a ‘Willy Wonka’ prequel for Warner Bros, but filming dates have yet to be set.
